Zhou's Kitchen

Zhou's Kitchen is located opposite Ikea along Alexandra Road. It has a casual dining atmosphere, and its menu boasts an interesting selection of Chinese dishes. However, one will find it difficult to identify which category of Chinese cuisine they belong to. On Chef's recommendation list was "Steamed Crab on Glutinous Rice". This dish did not disappoint. Crab and rice were steamed together in a rattan basket over slow fire. The result was a perfect blend of flavors. Steaming preserves the crab's freshness, and allows fragrance from the rice to permeate through. The "Pig Trotter" dish however, did not suit our taste palette. We found the fermented bean curd in the stew somewhat odd. We may return to Zhou's Kitchen some day, but only after we are again tired of Crystal Jade, just like today.
