Based on some feedback, it looks like there are people who prefer thick pizza crust to thin and crispy ones. There's a reason for Pizza Hut's longevity, I figured. So today, I've made some pan pizzas for comparison. I replaced plain flour with bread flour for a higher gluten content (to give the crust a chewy and softer texture), and jiggled the proportions of the ingredients slightly. Pretty good results. Thanks for your lovely pizzas Chef C.
After having the opportunity to taste your thick pizza, I figured out some pros & cons compared to the thinner version.
Both thick & thin were good but I prefer the thin one in terms of its texture. The thicker one felt quite floury at first few bites probably because of the bread flour composition wasn’t too right but after all not bad. The taste wise was acceptable. Only the bacons were a bit salty. Otherwise it would be great.
The colour of the thick pizza was excellent and looked appetising. Thickness was also just nice. However, the crust looeked a bit charred. Maybe need to rotate to spread even the temperature?
Overall I would say 85% success. Just my two cents.
Chefs,
Both types of pizzas were great. Thanks for giving such opportunities to try:)
Good thing about both types were they both taste equally good after it gets cold. Good job. The thick crust pizza even turned softer and tastier after we left it for about 2 hours. No heating required. Maybe you can try making the center part of the crust slightly thinner than the outer crust since you have the fillings to balance up the thickness.
As for the thin crust pizza, I left 3 pieces it in fridge over nite and heated it again, yum yum..I ate them like I have not tasted them before. Totally new experience.
The ingredients, crust and presentation are 100%. No comment we love it.
As oon hoh said, the bacons are slightly salty but luckily you put in sweet pineapple and the crust balance up the saltiness. Choice of cheese was excellent.
Keep it up!
Cheers!
thanks for taking time to drop your comments here. these are useful feedback. there will be more pizzas coming your way!
Hi Chef,
Thanks again for the ultrathin crust pizza. This pizza was "The Best" pizza I ever had so far.
The super thin crust is really yummy especially the side. Without the fillings it still tastes perfect. Good combination of ingredients and colors. All I can say is F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. Only one little feedback to suit my personal taste.. garlic too big in pieces.
I am now ready to be Scuzzi Super Fans.
this is great feedback. thanks!
